Visual Artist – Nat Rad is a practicing multi- discipline artist in Albany, W.A. Nat grew up in Derby, W.A and completed her arts degree regionally as a mature aged student. After practicing in shared workspaces, she has finally obtained her own studio, allowing the translating of ideas across the mediums of painting, sound, and textiles.






Nat considers herself a conceptual maker. Through initial research and discussion, flowing into planned and organic actions using specific art techniques. Nat explores layering as the link between her art mediums with each process a set of stages working towards the final work. She is currently re- examining and re-interpreting her catalogue of works over the past 20 years with sharper focus post child rearing.
Artworker – After obtaining qualifications in Arts Administration, Nat developed the Art Lease project. The project began in 2018 to support the local arts community through financial and promotional means. In 2023 the coordination role was passed to Racquel Cavallaro and continues under her guidence to facilitate artwork loan arrangements between Great Southern Artists and business venues. Currently Nat is working as a public programs officer within the arts and culture team, City of Albany. Accepting the position in October 2024, her role is to remove visitation barriers, enhance art education opportunties and encourage engagment with the exhibition prorgam.
